Applications for Rentals must be filled out at the Recreation Office

Searching for somewhere to hold your events or activity? Look no further! The Charlie Sterner Recreation Building is the perfect place for your business meetings, baby shower, birthday party, seminar, banquet, family reunion, wedding receptions...we have rental space for many of your social and business meeting needs.

Built in 2001 and located at the park on Long Lane, this spacious building with its 2 conference rooms, large assembly room, state of the art kitchen and seasonal snack bar has endless possibilities for your special event.

Both conference rooms are equipped with meeting tables and upholstered chairs. Also available are a podium, dry erase board and TV / VCR, making these rooms perfect for small business meetings, social functions or classes.

The assemble room is great for larger events with a seating capacity of 160. Available are 8 foot tables as well as several round and small square tables all with upholstered chairs.

The kitchen is equipped with 2 large freezers and refrigerators as well as a deep fryer, 2 gas ranges with a 12 burner capacity, 2 industrial ovens and 3 large sinks. A serving window opens into the assembly room; great for serving large groups.

Rental Policies

  • Smoking is prohibited within the facility.
  • Alcohol is permitted under strict guidelines and with pre-approval from the recreation director.
  • Food and / or drinks are restricted to the assembly room or conference rooms rented.
  • All activity is restricted to the rooms rented.
  • All entertainment must conclude no later than 11 p.m. or time specified on the rental agreement. No exceptions. There will be no noise, music or loud speakers or activity outside after 10 p.m. in respect to our neighbors.
  • Please adhere to your scheduled end time.
  • Adult supervision of all individuals under the age of 18 attending the event is required at all times.
  • Nothing is to be stapled, taped or affixed to walls without prior consent from the recreation office. Decoration must be restricted to tables and / or be free standing.
  • Occupancy of the premises shall be restricted to the appropriate capacity standards set forth by the fire code. Excess occupancy will result in termination of event.
  • At the conclusion of your event tables and chairs must be put away and the floor must be swept and mopped. Cleaning is the responsibility of the lessee. The building must be left the way it was found. The recreation department reserves the right to charge additional cleaning / repair fees should excessive clean up be required or if damage is assessed to the room / building.

    Assembly Rm.

    General Information

    1. Hours of Operation: The facility may be rented Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
    2. A building supervisor will be in the building only when there is a scheduled rental, otherwise the building is closed. The supervisor will open the building 15 minutes before your scheduled set-up time.
    3. Payments: A $50 deposit is required to secure and guarantee the date for all building functions. Full payment must be made ten (10) days prior to the event. Credit Cards accepted.
    4. Security: The Recreation Department will not assume responsibility for the damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left in the building prior to, during or following the event.
    5. Alcohol Regulations: No individual under the age of 21 is permitted to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages on these premises. Groups serving alcoholic beverages must sign our alcohol policy agreement receiving approval from the recreation department prior to the event. The Recreation Department employees or officers shall maintain the right to immediately terminate the contract and eject any and all parties causing a disturbance anywhere on the park premises.
    6. Rental fees can only be guaranteed one year in advance and only when a signed contract is executed and a deposit is received.
